“The Time Traveler’s Wife,” a loose retelling of “The Odyssey” written by Audrey Niffenegger, a Writer/Professor of book arts in Chicago, is in negotiations with Rachel McAdams attached to star & Stephen Frears directing.

The story centers on a man with a time-traveling gene that allows him to appear & reappear to his true love at different points in her life. Jeremy Leven (”The Notebook”) has adapted the remarkable story of Henry DeTamble, a dashing, adventuresome librarian who travels involuntarily through time & Clare Abshire (McAdams), an artist whose life takes a natural sequential course. Henry & Clare’s passionate love affair endures across a sea of time & captures the two lovers in an impossibly romantic trap.
