The Reader (Graded)

The Reader opens in post-WWII Germany, a teenager named Michael Berg becomes ill & is helped home by Hanna, a stranger twice his age. Michael recovers from scarlet fever & seeks out Hanna to thank her. Discovering that Hanna loves being read to, their relationship deepens into a physical one & quickly becomes passionate but secretive affair. Yet despite their intense bond, Hanna mysteriously disappears one day & Michael is left confused & heartbroken. Eight years later, while Michael is a law student observing the Nazi war crime trials, he is stunned to find Hanna back in his life – this time as a defendant in the courtroom. As Hanna’s past is revealed, Michael uncovers a deep secret that will impact both of their lives.

LOST Season 5 (TV Watch)

ABC has unveiled a trailer for the upcoming 5th season of "Lost," which features the song "You Found Me" by The Fray which contains footage.

Updates: It's been pointed out that at the 1:34 & 2:25 mark, the trailer flashes the logo for a tie-in company called Ajira Airways. It just so happens that a website for that airline exists & you can check it out HERE.

The Lost season five premiere will actually be a 3 hour event! An hour-long recap special at 8 PM, followed by the first two episodes 9-11 PM. The series will air thereafter at 9 PM on Weds.

Moon (Movie Watch)

Sam Bell is nearing the end of his contract with Lunar. He's been a faithful employee for 3 long years. His home has been Selene, a moon base where he has spent his days alone, mining Helium 3. The precious gas holds the key to reversing the Earth's energy crisis. Isolated & determined, Sam's time on the moon has been enlightening, but uneventful while he waits for his return home to Earth to his wife, young daughter & an early retirement. But 2 weeks shy of his departure from Selene, Sam starts seeing things, hearing things & feeling strange. And when a routine extraction goes horribly wrong, he discovers that Lunar have their own plans for replacing him... and the new recruit is eerily familiar.

Before he can return to Earth, Sam has to confront himself and the discovery that the life he has created, may not be his own. It's more than his contract that is set to expire.

Monsters vs Aliens (Movie Watch)

When California girl Susan Murphy is unwittingly clobbered by a meteor full of outer space gunk on her wedding day, she mysteriously grows to 49-feet-11-inches tall. Alerted to the threat of this new monster, the military jumps into action & Susan is captured & secreted away to a covert government compound. There, she is renamed Ginormica & placed in confinement with a ragtag group of other monsters: the brilliant but insect-headed Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D.; the macho half-ape, half-fish The Missing Link; the gelatinous & indestructible B.O.B.; and the 350-foot grub called Insectosaurus. Their confinement is cut short, however, when a mysterious alien robot lands on Earth & begins storming the country. In a moment of desperation, The President is persuaded by General W.R. Monger to enlist the motley crew of Monsters to combat the Alien Robot and save the world from imminent destruction.
